Dad planted some new flowers in our yard, and I love them. They're deceptively tropical looking.

I wanted to take boring flower pictures so I could play with textures on them, but then I realized I liked the flowers more than the textures.Maybe it's because I haven't found the right textures/methods (o:

 

I went with mom's office to the Thanksgiving Point gardens. They were so beautiful! I posted more pictures on my other blog, but I liked this one just because of the mountains in the background. Utah has some gorgeous mountains.

I'm still trying to catch up at work. I've been staying until 6 or 7 every night (which mom appreciates as I'm not begging to go home around 4:30) and by the time I get home, I have zero creative energy. So, look, the rose garden!

Also, Salt Lake has been amazingly rainy lately. I love it.

JennyandMark and the squishes were supposed to come over, but then they all got sick. I went to take them dinner and they...looked sick, so pictures of them are banned from posting. Ah well. The weather was nice.

I got a darling little pot of pansies for speaking at an adoption forum.

Of course, I then got sick and didn't think to water them and they are spending some time in Plant ICU.

I vowed to take a picture outside today, no matter what. So I went and walked around a cemetery in a short skirt and heels in freezing cold weather. But it was outside!

The Flowers of My Emotional Demise! Not as delicious as the Divinity of my Emotional Destruction, but much prettier. Funny, I always pictured my emotional downfall to involve calla lilies...

Also, I put the picture on my computer and it looked water-colored. How weird!

Dad asked me what my favorite flowers were.
I said "Black-eyed Susans"
He said he'd plant some for me and pointed to an empty spot of garden.
These bloomed instead.
